Sunshine Coast Optometrist Darin Browne loves the coast, loves being a Behavioural Optometrist, and loves life!
As a Behavioural Optometrist, Darin feels he has found a unique and enjoyable niche in the Optometry industry.
In an industry dominated by big chains, discount prices and poor quality, Darin has taken the time to have a special interest in children, especially those with learning problems, eye turns or ever-increasing shortsightedness.
This special area of interest has sparked a long term commitment to Behavioural optometry and independent practice. As an independent optometrist, Darin can set his own hours, use any lenses he desires and take as long as he sees fit to serve his patients more effectively.
But Darin Browne is not just a Sunshine Coast Optometrist!
Darin is also the senior pastor of Ignite Christian Church at Woombye. He has impacted his local community as a medical professional, as a pastor and as a father. 
While he has been a behavioural optometrist for over 30 years, Darin is also the 2018 Queensland Father of the Year! With his wife Fiona, he has fostered many children, mainly teenagers, for over 20 years. In fact, they fostered the most difficult teenage girls, which proved to be a challenge, but also a chance to show real love to girls who had never really experienced it!
Once they stopped this, they founded Lily House, a charity designed to impact the lives of young women in trouble. Lily House helps vulnerable women in need, whether pregnant, leaving addiction or as victims of domestic violence.
Darin Browne believes that caring for others is more important than making money, and his entire life is dedicated to caring for others, as a Sunshine Coast Optometrist, a pastor or through his charity Lily House.
Being a Sunshine Coast Optometrist is a huge privilege for Darin, and the great blessing is that he is able to not only provide for his family, serve in his church, and serve the community while doing something he genuinely loves!

And Darin is also an accomplished musician, who has traveled the world with evangelist Bill Newman for over 25 years. He has released many top selling Christian songs, and continue to record with his friend Erick Buma and produce more music.
